The City of Elmhurst open positions are available to view,
and you can also complete an online application to apply for one or more
positions. Job applications are
accepted electronically only through the City of Elmhurst website when a position is posted
for recruitment. Unsolicited resumes are not retained.
There
are two steps to apply for a position with the City of Elmhurst. The first is to complete an on-line profile
and the second is to complete an on-line application. You are welcome to create a profile at any
time regardless of whether there is an open position. Applications can only be completed when an
open position exists.
Are you interested in viewing Open
Positions only? You can view open positions without having to create a
Login ID. Simply follow the steps below.
- Select Position Search Status on the left side of the screen.
- Using the drop down box under
Search Criteria, select
a department or select All.
- Select search to view Open Positions.
- Select a position.
- Select Apply for this Position Now or Go
back and Search Again, located at the bottom of each job posting.
Are you ready to apply for an Open
Position? Please follow the
steps below.
New
users:
1. Select Create User on the left side of
this screen and follow the instructions to create a User ID and Password.
2. Once you have
Logged In, complete the Personal Information screen and select Save Details. Your user profile has been created. You can now apply for any current or future
job openings.
3. Select Position Search Status and select
the position you wish to apply for.
4. Once you select a
position to apply for, at the bottom of the Position Description screen, select
Apply for this Position Now.
5. Be sure to complete each section of the
application listed on the left side of the screen and select Submit Application
when ready to submit.
6. Incomplete applications will not be
considered.
Existing
users:
1. Select Log In on the left side of this
screen.
2. Once you have
entered your existing User ID and Password, Personal
Information will be displayed.
3. Verify the Personal Information is correct.
4. Select Position Search Status. You can search for positions, update your
application and apply for one of the open positions displayed by selecting the
appropriate position. You can also view
the status of your current applications on this screen under the category, Submitted / In Process Applications.
Do you want to include a resume and
cover letter? Although it is not
mandatory, we encourage you to submit your resume and cover letter along with
your application by selecting Resume Upload on the left side of the screen and
attach your document. Documents that are uploaded must be in
Microsoft Word .doc or Adobe .pdf format.
